Cell phone ban a breeze for MFISD

While a number of Texas school districts struggle with the newly state-mandated cell phone bans on campuses, Marble Falls ISD has been ahead of the game, officials say.

State lawmakers passed the cell phone in public schools ban under House Bill (HB) 1481 with enforcement, starting on Sept. 1.

The law requires that public and charter schools “adopt, implement, and ensure the district or school complies with a written policy prohibiting a student from using a personal communication device while on school property during the school day.”
