The Marble Falls High School tennis team stomped Cameron Yoe 18-1 in matches that took two days to finish because of thunderstorms and lightning.

On the first day, which began at 4:10 p.m. Aug. 21, the Mustangs took a dominant 7-0 lead thanks to sweeping the three boys and girls doubles and mixed doubles matches. By 5:30 p.m. four singles matches had started already. Lightning was detected and sent players indoors. Coaches realized by the time the storm passed through and players could return to the courts for warmups, they’d resume at 7:30 p.m.

So they chose to meet back up the next day to finish beginning at 4:10 p.m. By 5:50 p.m., Marble Falls had earned the necessary win total to take the headto- head win. Marble Falls’ only loss was in boys singles.
