Commissioners extend support for flood victims

The Burnet County Commissioners Court continues to support various actions to help local residents recover from the July 4 flood.

During the Sept. 2 court meeting, Burnet County Emergency Management Coordinator Derek Marchio reported more than 500 local requests for flood relief are still open.

Therefore, the commissioners voted unanimously to extend the Burnet County State of Disaster declaration for an additional 30 days.
