Marble Falls welcomes new city manager

Marble Falls welcomes new city manager
Right, outgoing Marble Falls City Manager Mike Hodge enjoys applause from a packed city council chamber as Mayor John Packer, left, and Councilman Griff Morris congratulate Hodge for his imminent transition to retirement during the Sept. 2 city council meeting.

It is now official. Marble Falls City Council formally appointed former deputy city manager Caleb Kraenzel as the new city manager during its Sept. 2 meeting at city hall, 800 Third Street.

The council members bid a fond farewell to Mike Hodge before they appointed Kraenzel to succeed Hodge as the top city staff administrator.

Indeed, the council declared Sept. 6 “Mike Hodge Day” before Hodge stepped down from the post he held for 10 years.
