The Faith Academy of Marble Falls football team ensured a happy homecoming thanks to crushing Barksdale Nueces Canyon 56-6 Sept. 19.

“I don’t know if I’d call it a statement win,” head coach Jay Silvers said. “It’s good to get back on track. We preached all week talking about being efficient and finishing up the week strong. Friday night, they got it all together.”

The Flames (3-1) led 14-0 after the first quarter thanks to a 55-yard rushing touchdown by sophomore Landon Silvers and a 50yard rushing score by senior Andrew Houy. Sophomore Egan Barnes added the two-point kick.
