The Boys & Girls Club of the Highland Lakes invites you to mosey on into the Buckaroo Ball Saturday, Oct. 4, for a night to support the units in Marble Falls, Kingsland, Llano and Burnet.

The event is from 5 to 9 p.m. at the YMCA of the Highland Lake in Burnet, 1601 South Water (U.S. 281) in Burnet.

Local Clubs

The Boys & Girls Club of the Highland Lakes (established 1999) serving 500 kids a year throughout three school districts, MFISD, BCISD and LISD, across two counties and 1907 square miles.

In this region, 70% of kids qualify for free or reduced lunch.

Fees are set so no child is turned away – $25 per family per month during the school year, and $175 per family for the summer.

Years of Service

The organization has accumulated 61 combined years of service in the communities served. The club is open 1,500 hours a year – 3:30 to 7 p.m. on school days, noon to 6 p.m. on early release and 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. teacher in service, Thanksgiving, Christmas, spring and summer recess.

Feeds Kids

The club has served 37,027 meals and 5,954 snacks in 2024. According to the University of Michigan, every $1 invested in a Boys & Girls Club in Texas returns $12.26 in current and future earnings and cost savings to their communities.

Good Outcomes

Academic success, healthy lifestyles and good character and cit- izenship are our priority outcomes. Boys & Girls Club Alumni report that 51% volunteer at least once a month compared to 31% of the general population; 78% are satisfied with their lives and careers versus 65% of the general population; and 71% feel financially healthy versus 61% of the general population.

Every hour a child spends at the Boys and Girls Club is another hour they’re being steered to become a productive citizen. Boys & Girls Club of the Highland Lakes – building futures and improving communities.

Individual admission is $125, or you can become a table sponsor starting at $1,000, which includes reserved seating for eight and recognition at the event. It’s a great way to show your support while enjoying the evening with friends, family or coworkers.
