Patsy and Sheila didn’t know it at the time, but their love of the resale market once resulted in the two women independently owning successful thrift stores in Liberty Hill.
Crossing Paths
Their paths would later cross in Kingsland. In 2019, Patsy Irvin opened a consignment store, The Treasure Nouk, in partnership with Rayford Burnam and Alyssa Maxwell, at 2743 RR 1431. One of her clients displayed jewelry for sale, then Patsy hired her. Patsy decided to turn her store over to her employee, Sheila Reid-Watts.

“I put it into the very deserving and capable hands of Sheila, who changed the name to Second- Hand Treasures,” Patsy shared. It was a 30-year prayer answered for Sheila.
Resale sales
“My first recollection of a ‘resale’ environment was going to the flea market in Wichita Falls with my grandparents. I could not believe all I saw. It was like the grains of sand in an hourglass of time from years past,” said Sheila. “I was mesmerized and I was hooked!”
This week, Patsy is back at her former store, launching “Ruffles to Wranglers Family Clothing” in the back room of Second-Hand Treasures.
Knowing the need in Kingsland for affordable clothing for the whole family, I bought two like-new blouses for $3.99 each. And the selection of greatpriced choices in children’s and men’s wear is impressive. I always find the perfect home accessory, perfect holiday pin or unique gift within Second-Hand Treasures’ upscale consignment spaces.
Please check out Patsy and Sheila’s great treasures Tuesday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Call Sheila at 512-690-6857 for consignment questions.
