Granite Shoals is conducting an illegal poaching investigation as the community grapples with an overabundance of deer.

Granite Shoals authorities are taking aim at illegal poaching as the community grapples with an overabundance of deer.

Authorities arrested a yet-to-be identified suspect in connection with “suspected illegal poaching activity” and “reports of several dead bucks and does.”

“There is not a poaching charge against him at this time, but it’s in relation to that. This individual is a suspect in regard to that matter,” Granite Shoals Police Chief John Ortis told The Highlander.
