Granite Shoals got some pushback on its newly-restarted deer harvesting program at the city council meeting Tuesday, Oct. 14 when two citizens spoke critically of the program.
Francis Cooper and Daniel Alfrey, neighbors, both said they didn’t oppose a deer control program. However, Cooper said safety concerns and regulations were being ignored and Alfrey questioned the program’s operation.
Cooper told the council she lived with her son, daughter in law, two grandsons and three dogs. She itemized things the program purports to do that she said weren’t being done, including that:
