Marble Falls school trustees moved forward Monday with another project from the district’s 2025 bond election, voting to hire American Constructors of Cedar Park to oversee renovation of the district’s softball field at the high school.
The company bid to finish the project with a guarantee that it would cost no more than $1,060,617. That’s $124,383 less than the $1,185,000 the district had budgeted in the bond election.
American Constructors, which says it can handle “virtually every facet of commercial construction,” could start work as early as Thursday, Oct. 25, if given the go-ahead by Monday, Oct. 20. However, since the school board met at 6 p.m. Monday, that permission obviously didn’t come by that date.
