During the Marble Falls ISD Board of Trustees meeting Dec. 15, school officials recognized several educators and students for exhibiting exceptional attributes.
Spicewood Elementary teacher Jennifer Cline was recognized with the Going the Extra Mile Award (GEM) award.
The award honors staff members for exceptional dedication to students, colleagues and the district On hand to present her the award were Spicewood Elementary Principal Tiffany Brantley and MFISD Superintendent Jeff Gasaway.
Gasaway also assisted campus administrators with all the presentations.
Spicewood Elementary students, Millie Sue Rust and Eduardo Aguilar, were recognized with the Superintendent’s Award.
The monthly honor recognizes two students per campus for embodying district values like leadership, service and academic effort.
Congratulating these students with a group photo were board members Larry Berkman, Mandy McCary, Gary Boshears, Kevin Virdell, Alex Payson, Crystal Tubig, Kevin Naumann.
Colt Elementary first-grade teacher Tracy Farmer was recognized with the Spotlight on Engagement award. Farmer was recognized for her ability to monitor and adjust her instruction based on student responses and support student learning.
Highland Lakes Elementary resource teacher Jennifer Cline was recognized with the Spotlight on Excellence Award.
