Marble Falls High School Principal Patrick Hinson has been named a Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) Distinguished Administrator.
Hinson was nominated for the recognition by Marble Falls High School Choral Director Bryce Gage, who in his nomination, focused on Hinson being true to his commitment to being visible in classrooms across the campus.
“He was regularly in the choir room listening to the students and encouraging them to be their best self,” Gage said. “He was not only present during class time, he also attended every performance and contest of the choral department, being the first person to congratulate the students on their presentations.” In addition to spending time in the choir room, Hinson began looking up choral performances on the internet and sharing them and has volunteered to drive the bus to choir field trips, Gage said.
“I am very honored to receive this recognition,” Hinson said. “I truly enjoy supporting our students in all of their endeavors.”
Joe Munoz, executive director of the Texas Music Educators Association praised Hinson for showing support to music students at Marble Falls High School.
“The students in the choir program know that Mr. Hinson is a part of our program, not just the principal of Marble Falls High School,” Gage said. “He has been an encouragement and support of the choral program at MFHS, pushing us to be better today than we were yesterday. He is the perfect example of a TMEA Distinguished Administrator.”
Hinson was recognized for this distinction during the Dec. 15 MFISD Board of Trustees meeting.
