Despite potential personnel budget woes, state officials are losing no sleep over Burnet County jail operations.
Texas Commission on Jail Standards (TCJS) officials inspected both county jail facilities last month. According to the report reviewed by the Burnet County Commissioners Court during their June 11 meeting, TCJS jail inspectors found zero deficiencies at the main jail facility, 900 County Lane.
Nor did inspectors discover any defects at the remote holding lockup in Burnet next to the county's Courthouse Annex, 1701 E. Polk. Too, the inspectors issued no remedial orders for either location.
