A traffic stop resulted in an arrest after authorities found a loaded gun, cash and illicit drugs, according to Llano County Sheriff’s Office.
On Dec. 21, 2025, at approximately 1:13 a.m., Texas Department of Public Safety Highway Patrol Trooper Marc Chambers conducted a consensual contact with a vehicle stopped along Texas 29 in Llano County.
During the contact, Chambers “observed what appeared to be large quantities of methamphetamine in the rear seat of the vehicle,” according to the statement from LCSO.
The driver was arrested, and a search of the vehicle was conducted with assistance from the Llano County Sheriff’s Office, including Deputies Leroy Rodriguez and Nico Martinez, along with K9 Ronin.
The search resulted in the seizure of approximately 9.69 kilos of methamphetamine, 1.22 kilos of an unknown substance, a loaded firearm, approximately $6,000 in
cash and drug paraphernalia.
“We appreciate the continued support and dedication of the Texas Highway Patrol and our Llano County Sheriff’s deputies as we work together to keep Llano County safe,” according to an LCSO press release. “Thanks to the teamwork between agencies, a large amount of illegal drugs was removed from our community.”
