Four Republican party candidates are set to participate during the Burnet County March 3 primary election.
The Republican primary ballot will present one incumbent and one challenger for the office of county judge, as well as one incumbent and one challenger for one county commissioner seat.
Incumbent Bryan Wilson is running for election to serve his first four year-term as county judge, after he completes the unexpired term of former judge James Oakley by the end of 2026.
According to Wilson’s website at https://www.judgebryanwilson. com/, Wilson plans to “cut taxes, protect families and keep Burnet County safe.”
Wilson is challenged by Alan Trevino, now serving as the Burnet County Sheriff’s Office chief deputy.

According to Trevino’s website at https://alanstrevino. com/, Trevino plans to “increase openness in decision-making, encourage public input and streamline county operations.”
County Commissioner Also during the Republican primary, incumbent Damon Beierle is running for re-election to a third four-year term as the Pct. 2 commissioner.
According to Beierle’s website at https://commissionerbeierle. com/, he “brings 20 years of expertise and community leadership and a proven track record of effective community engagement and environmental stewardship.”
Beierle is opposed by Leonard Guenter, the owner of a local construction firm.
Guenter’s Facebook page is at https://www.facebook. com/guenterforburnetcountycommis-sioner2.
Guenter says, “I’m not about chasing headlines or side hustles. My focus is where it belongs-right here, right now, on what matters to you.”
