The Highland Lakes Writers’ Club, which has been meeting for over 30 years, welcomes interested writers and authors of all kinds to its meetings at the Marble Falls Public Library at 1:30 p.m. on the third Wednesday of every month.
The meetings are informal, with lively discussion, short readings by members and guests, helpful critique upon request and networking with other attendees. The group includes area writers, both published and unpublished, from a variety of fields: fiction and nonfiction books and stories, children’s books and stories, essays, poetry, journalism, plays/screenplays and more.
“It’s a small group right now,” says author and member William H. Reid.
He added, “(The meeting is) open to all genres and experience levels. We’re eager to grow. Join us if you enjoy putting pen to paper, or fingertips to keyboard!”
Poets may also enjoy Mike Baldwin’s Poetry Multiverse meetings/ readings at the Marble Falls library on the last Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m.
