A Marble Falls eatery with a flare for brew poured its final pint March 7.
"Our doors are now closed, but we couldn’t resist bringing our community together one last time," according to a statement from Bear King Brewing Co. "Join us this Saturday for a final meal, a final pint, and a heartfelt thank you to all the people who have made Bear King feel like home these past 7 years."
The farewell event was scheduled Saturday, March 7 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. "or while supplies last," the owners said on their social media page.
"Everything must go — 100% of food sales and tips will go to our employees," the statement read.

During that time, the staff would offer a discounted food menu, free chips and queso and free chicken strips for kids.
"100% of food sales will go directly to our staff."
While business appears to be booming in the Marble Falls, reports indicate the eatery struggled economically.
Located at 207 Avenue G, behind Blue Bonnet Cafe, owners had launched on the premise of a mythological past and excelled with award-winning brew.
"Legend has it that centuries ago, a mysterious creature stalked the outskirts of Marble Falls," according to the company website. "Some say it was half-man, half-bear. Others claim it was just a bear or simply a man. Either way, the myth of the Bear King stuck."
The myth remains, but now the story of another local brewing company comes to an end.
