Granite Shoals residents will be asked to pay more to rent the community center in the future and nonresidents’ boat launch fees will go up if a recommendation made to the city council goes through.
The city’s Parks Committee has studied both boat launch fees and community rentals and concluded that the fees need to be raised to continue to cover costs.
But while non-resident boaters’ fees will go up from $10 per day to $20, Granite Shoals property owners will continue to use city boat ramps free.
