Probe clears Granite Shoals city leaders
A probe into Granite Shoals city leaders "found no basis for" a complaint by a former staff member.

Author: Contributed/City of Granite Shoals

Investigators have cleared the City of Granite Shoals of impropriety related to three complaint allegations against the city officials by a former administrator.

The complaint, lodged in late 2025 by former finance director Kevin Rule, claimed policy violations in City Manager Sarah Novo’s pay raise process and Fire Chief Tim Campbell’s purchase of fire equipment. Another accusation involved travel expenses.

Upon being in- formed of the complaint, Granite Shoals City Council members declined to hire a third party to investigate and asked the sheriff’s office to do so instead.
