Commission launches first meeting to combat power line

The first meeting of the Burnet County Highland Lakes Sub-Regional Planning Commission is in the history books.

Burnet County Pct. 2 Commissioner Damon Beierle is president of the commission. Burnet Mayor Gary Wideman is vice president. Burnet County Justice of the Peace Pct. 4 Frank Reilly is the secretary. Burnet Councilwoman Joyce Laudenschalger sits on the four-member commission.

More than 50 residents attended the inaugural session of the commission March 16 in Burnet at the AgriLife Extension, 607 N. Vandeveer.
