The Marble Falls Economic Development Corporation (EDC) continues to restrain ambitions to spend big for Lakeside Park improvements.

The EDC board recently examined projected prices for several proposed park improvements, which could total more than $4 million, according to a cost list prepared by Myers Concrete Construction LP, based in Wimberley.

“We will continue to communicate regularly with the Myers team regarding potential cost-saving measures,” Marble Falls EDC Executive Director Christian Fletcher told The Highlander June 17. “We won’t get a revised proposal from them until our (EDC) subcommittee explores and discusses some value-engineering opportunities.”
