Early voting is underway in municipal elections. Granite Shoals and Marble Falls are the sole municipalities with contested races.
Marble Falls
Marble Falls City Council candidates are: Place 1, Rhonda M.
Brown and Mark May- field; Place 3, Lauren Haltom (incumbent) and Dave Rhodes; and Place 5, Richard Westerman, (incumbent), who does not have a challenger.
Granite Shoals
For Granite Shoals City Council, incum- bent Mike Pfister, will retain his Place 2 seat;
Mark Henshaw and
Todd Sifleet both filed for Place 4; and incum bent Catherine Bell is unopposed for Place 6.
To cast ballots in these two elections, early voting goes through Tuesday, April 28. Election Day is Saturday, May 2.
The Burnet County Elections Office is han dling the elections for the cities. Voters can cast their ballots at any of the four polling locations: The Texas Tech Marble Falls, 806 Steve Hawkins Pkwy.; Gran ite Shoals Community Center, 1208 N. Phillips Ranch Road; as well as the AgriLife Building, 607 N. Vandeveer St., in Burnet and Bertram Community Center, 340 S. Gavriel St..
The polls are open today, Friday, April 24, for early voting from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday, April 25, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. And on Monday, April 27 and Tuesday, April 28, citizens can vote from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the locations listed above.
On Election Day, Saturday, May 2, voters can cast their ballots from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at all four voting centers.

Uncontested Elections
In Meadowlakes Garrett Wood filed to run for mayor, and Mayor Mark Bentley did not file for re-election; For Place 1 Michael G. Shaw filed for that seat; and for council member place 3, Carolyn L. Richmond filed to run for election.
In Cottonwood Shores, three candidates up for re-election are unopposed. They are Place 1 Councilor Michael W. Ritchie; Councilwoman for Place 3 Cheryl Trinidad; and Place 5 Councilman Roger Wayson.
Also, Kingsland Municipal Utility District (KMUD) has cancelled its election due to no contested races. Highland Haven has no contested races, and the City of Horseshoe Bay holds its municipal elections in November.
