The Burnet County commissioners recently agreed to seek key grants to support the court at law and the public defender's office.
During the April 28 meeting, the commissioners decided to apply to Texas Joint Commission on Mental Health for a grant no more than $280,000 with no match requirement.
“It is a competitive state-funded grant that would provide funding for a full-time court liaison position for at least two years,” County Court at Law Cody Henson told the commissioners.
