The Rosebud community is mourning the death of its fire chief after he was killed in a utility vehicle crash at Hidden Falls Adventure Park.
Rosebud is located in Falls County about 15 miles outside Cameron.
According to officials with the United States Honor Flag, “Fire Chief Caleb Miller of the Rosebud Volunteer Fire Department was killed following a UTV crash in Burnet County, Tex as, near an off road trail park east of Marble Falls.”

The agency posted details of the crash on their social media page.
“[T]he crash involved a Polaris RAZR style UTV that left the trail and struck a tree,” the statement read. “Chief Miller was reportedly ejected and pronounced deceased at the scene. The investigation remains ongoing.”
Miller’s department described him as “more than a fire chief. He was a brother, a mentor, and a once in a lifetime leader whose impact will never fade.”

Memorial Services Miller’s visitation was scheduled for Thursday, May 7 from 11 a.m.–2 p.m. and 5 p.m.-8 p.m. Visitation and Service will be held at Westphalia Parish Hall, 114 County Rd 3000, Lott.
Funeral services are scheduled for Friday May 8 at 11 a.m. with burial to follow at Clover Hill Cemetery, 474 N. Waco Street, Lott.
