Granite Shoals City Council approved its police agency signing onto a cooperative deal with federal police for illegal immigration enforcement.
During their April 28 regular meeting, the council approved a Memorandum of Agreement in a so-called 287(g) Task Force Model which grants its officers "most of the powers of ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) immigration agents.”
