July 15, 1948 — June 24, 2024

Esperanza C. Soto was 75 years old and lived in Horseshoe Bay, Texas. She went to be with the Lord on June 24, 2024.

Esperanza was born to Eulgio and Florencia Flores Carrizales on July 15, 1948. She married the love of her life, Cruz T. Soto on January 18, 1967. Esperanza and Cruz had 4 daughters and 1 son. She was a very special woman who wore many hats, but most of all she was a Pastor’s wife.

In all the hats she wore, she was a wife, mother, sister, a doctor when someone was sick, a taxi driver to pick up the kids or when someone needed a ride, a counselor for guidance when someone needed one, but her most important roles were her family and being a Pastor’s wife. Esperanza alongside her husband, attended the Hispanic Baptist Theological Seminary in San Antonio, Texas, and achieved her degree in Childhood Education. She taught the children at church and home.

Esperanza is survived by her loving husband, Cruz T. Soto, daughters Herminia Soto Fierro and husband Frank Fierro, of Granite Shoals, Minerva Soto Smith, of Horseshoe Bay, Esmeralda Soto Hernandez and husband Robert Beltran, of Marble Falls and her son, Cruz Soto, Jr. and his wife Samantha Soto of Kingsland.

She is also survived by her 19 grandkids, 34 great grandkids and many nieces and nephews as well as her 3 sisters and 2 brothers.

Esperanza is preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers, 3 sisters, her eldest daughter, Lydia Soto Martinez and her grandson Jeremiah Evan Hernandez.

Esperanza was a woman of God. She will forever be missed, but she is now with our Lord singing with the angels.

Viewing will be Thursday, June 27, 2024 from 4 - 8 pm. Funeral service will be Friday, June 28, 2023, at 10:00 am. Both services will be held at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home, Marble Falls, Texas.

Burial will be at the Marble Falls City Cemetery. A reception will follow at The Mission Center, 408 Ave. R., Marble Falls, Texas. Condolences may be made at: www.clementswilcoxfuneralhome.
