Formula 1 boats race into town this weekend

- tle on the Colorado re - turns to Marble Falls with high-speed thrills, live music and family fun. The International Ho - trod Association (IHRA) Formula 1 Powerboat Series will be on Lake Marble Falls June 5-7.

The event is hosted by the Marble Falls Area Chamber of Commerce.

The weekend kicks off this afternoon with official testing sessions on the Colorado River, offering fans a first look at the world's fastest and most agile powerboats. Friday evening trans forms into a vibrant community celebration featuring a Concert in the Park, live music, a Show & Shine boat display and local food trucks.

Fans will have the op portunity to meet driv ers, explore the boats up close, and enjoy a festive kickoff to the weekend.

On Saturday, the com petition heats up with qualifying and heat races as teams battle for posi -

tion on the tight, spec tator-friendly course. Sunday delivers the ul timate showdown, with final races crowning the weekend's champions in a thrilling display of speed, precision and skill.

"The IHRA Formula 1 Powerboat Series is North America's premier powerboat racing cham pionship, featuring elite drivers piloting boats ca pable of reaching speeds over 120 mph and accel erating from 0–100 mph in under five seconds. Known for its intense, deck-to-deck competi tion and tight-course rac ing, the series delivers unmatched excitement for fans of all ages," according to a press re lease. "More than just a race, each event is a fullscale festival that brings tourism, economic im pact, and global attention to host communities. "With live streaming and broad media cov erage, the Battle on the Colorado reaches au diences far beyond the shoreline." General admission for ages 9 and older is $20 (8 and under get in free).

Special admission packages are: $125 per day (8 tickets) for a Lakeside Park beach lot; $200 per day (Rooster - tail VIP); and a Week end Pass is $300 which involves a "2 Seater Ex perience". Raffle tickets are $10 per ticket.
