Marble Falls ISD leadership released a statement in reference to the deceased juvenile, who was a student at the district.

MFHS Principal Patrick Hinson wrote: "It is with deep sadness that we share the loss of one of our students last night (June 11). Our hearts are with the student's family, friends, classmates, and all those who knew and cared for them during this incredibly difficult time."

Officials have offered emotional support for those who knew the victim.

"We encourage families to check in with their children, listen to their concerns, and reassure them that it is normal to experience strong emotions following a loss," Hinson wrote. "If you believe your child may need additional support, please feel free to bring your child to the high school on Monday, June 15th, from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Counselors will be on hand to visit with your student."
