From staff reports Authorities have pieced together more clues including a preliminary ID in a cold case involving a missing man in Llano County.
“The Llano County Sheriff's Office is ac tively pursuing leads in a 2018 Cold Case In vestigation (LCSO Case
#C18-367) involving hu man remains discovered on a ranch in western Llano County,” according to LCSO’s press release. “Recent forensic developments have advanced the investigation, and investigators are actively following up on new information related to the case.”
At this time, investigators believe the skeletal remains are those of Eric William Wallace. “DNA analysis has been conducted and indicates a high probability that the remains belong to Wallace,” the release continued. “Investigators are currently seeking dental records to assist in confirming the identification."
Wallace’s family has
been notified and is coop erating with investigators by providing information relevant to the case.
Family members reported losing contact with Wallace in late 2017 and have had no known communication with him since that time.
Wallace was known to have lived in North Carolina, Florida and San Antonio.
“No piece of information is too small, and any information could be valuable to the ongoing investigation,” the press release continued. “The Llano County Sheriff’s Office would like to ex press its appreciation to the Fulton County Sher- iff's Office in Johnstown, New York, and the Davidson County Sheriff’s
Office in Lexington, North Carolina, for their invaluable assistance with this investigation.”
