MFISD spotlights first-grade teacher

Special to The Highlander Nominated by colleague Michael Haley for the Spotlight on Excel- lence Award, Ashlea Leh man is celebrated for her exceptional ability to build strong relationships with students, families, and staff. Lehman, a first-grade teacher at Marble Falls El- ementary, was recognized as the Spotlight on Excel- lence Award winner pre sented by Superintendent Jeff Gasaway.

Her engaging and vibrant classroom activities, such as Fun Friday meetings and dressing up for the 100th day of school, make her class a favorite among students.

Lehman maintains last- ing connections with for mer students, attending their events even as they progress to high school and beyond. Additionally, she leads the school social committee, mentors staff, and contributes to vertical alignment efforts.

Lehman expresses deep appreciation for the honor, emphasizing her joy in watching students grow and succeed over the years.
