Burnet County Commissioners honoring first responders in July

Recently, County Judge James Oakley formally proclaimed the month to applaud, recog- nize and show gratitude for many local career and volunteer dispatchers, medical services person- nel, firefighters, law en - forcement officials and search and rescue crews the public often calls on for assistance during emergency situations.

"We owe many thanks to those who do all that," Oakley said during the County Commissioners Court meeting June 28.

Also, Oakley com mended Pct. 3 Commissioner Jim Luther Jr. and Pct 4. Commissioner Joe Don Dockery, noting now and during previous years, both have contributed much time and effort to promote the mo- rale of first responders and their efficiency.
