Karen Jones was born on June 16, 1966 in Houston, Texas to Kenneth Knight and Rosie (Sheppard) Knight and passed away on June 26, 2024 in Livingston, Texas at the age of 58. She now lives in the pure light of eternity in the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Karen will be fondly remembered as a caring and compassionate woman who always sought opportunities to meet those in need. She received great joy seeing the faces of those she served light up with a newfound hope that things would always be okay. She was selfless in her ap-proach to life and found value in everyone. This was so evident in her Spirit born tendencies to always put the needs of others above her own. Karen wore many hats with much elegance and class, but the one’s she was most proud of was “wife,” “momma,” and “mimi.” She enjoyed doing crafts with her daughter, Lindsey, and time with family was of utmost importance to Karen. She was certainly dedicated and set a wonderful example to those who took notice. Two words that characterize Karen are "servant" and "sacrifice."

She was committed to the choir at First Assembly of God and her service to the Spring Tabernacle Care Min-istry. Her ministry towards the end of her life was simply “worship.” Karen was clearly an instrument of God’s righteousness who will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

A funeral service for Karen was held at Madisonville Funeral Home on Friday, July 5th at 1 P.M. followed by interment in Allphin Cemetery. Visitation was held 1 hour prior to the service at 12 noon. Pastor Steve Comstock, First Assembly of God Diboll, officiated the service.

Karen was preceded in death by her mother, Rosie Wunderlich.

Those left to cherish Karen’s memory are her husband, Dan Jones of Livingston; father, Kenneth Knight (Darlene) of Madisonville, and his brother, Troy (Sally), sister, Frieda Michael and families; two sons, Steven Jones of Greenville, SC and Kadan Jones of Livingston; and two daughters, Victoria Jones-Skov (Michael) of Richmond and Lindsey Jones-Detwiler (Sean) of Orange.
