October 3, 1934 — April 28, 2024

Brenda Eileen Brown, 89, of Horseshoe Bay, passed away April 28, 2024, with her family by her side.

She was born to the late Reginald Herbert and Lena Ford-Payne Archer, October 3, 1934.

Brenda married John Brown in 1954, and they traveled across the United States and Europe for 62 years before settling in Horseshoe Bay. They recently celebrated their 70th anniversary. Brenda is survived by her husband John, five children: Deborah Neiman (Terry), of Horseshoe Bay; Steven Brown (Colette), of Austin; Judy Laube (Rick), of Spicewood; Donald Brown (Ellen), of Cibolo; and Suzanne Brown of Horseshoe Bay and her siblings Robin Archer and Carol Ealey of Witney, England. Brenda is also survived by her grandchildren Nicolas Garcia, Christopher Neiman, Jaclyn Powell, Jordan Neiman, Leah Lash, and Lauren Laube, her nephews Darren and Philip Ealey, and five great-grandsons. Brenda was predeceased by her parents Reginald and Lena.

Brenda loved her family dearly, always putting their needs before her own. She selflessly served at area nursing homes and supported her daughter and the Special Olympics family for over three decades. Above all, Brenda loved the Lord. She joyfully sang in the choir and played the piano during Sunday services. Her beautiful smile and matchless sense of humor will be missed daily.

A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at 11 a.m. at The Church at Horseshoe Bay. An onsite reception will follow immediately after the ceremony. The family requests that people make donations in support of the Special Olympics, in lieu of sending flowers.
