Local business brings dignity to families who lose pets

Losing a family pet is a traumatic experience. For Scott and Julie Wilbeck, losing their family’s beloved dog Roxanne helped them see the need for a service in the Highland Lakes area that would enable families to say goodbye with dignity in a warm and caring environment.

Losing a family pet is a traumatic experience. For Scott and Julie Wilbeck, losing their family’s beloved dog Roxanne helped them see the need for a service in the Highland Lakes area that would enable families to say goodbye with dignity in a warm and caring environment.

Roxanne was hit by a car on a holiday weekend, and they were unable to find a place in the Highland Lakes that offered cremation or memorials.

Eventually, they found a pet funeral home an hour and a half away. However, the encounter was in a cold, sterile environment.
