Area crews contain blaze

A brush fire, which scorched 47 acres in a wildland area between Burnet and Marble Falls, was contained with the assistance of the Texas Forest Service. The battle, referred to as the Lover’s Hill fire, began on Friday, July 12, and kept fire crews from the Marble Falls, Granite Shoals and Kingsland area busy for much of the weekend.

A brush fire, which scorched 47 acres in a wildland area between Burnet and Marble Falls, was contained with the assistance of the Texas Forest Service.

The battle, referred to as the Lover’s Hill fire, began on Friday, July 12, and kept fire crews from the Marble Falls, Granite Shoals and Kingsland area busy for much of the weekend.

A brief flare up was reported July 15 and quickly contained that morning.
