Honey bees take Texas by storm

A few weeks ago an article appeared in the Killeen Daily Herald about Texas becoming the nation’s top beekeeping state.

Mention was made in the article about a new Texas law created in 2012 that made it possible for people, even with small tracts of land, to get a property tax cut for keeping bees.

After that tax break bill was created beekeeping classes became very popular.
