Marble Falls boys lose to Seguin, Lockhart next up

Andrew Stripling and the Mustangs ran their spread offense against Seguin.

Marble Falls tried to spread the court and utilize its one-on-one attack against Seguin Friday night.
While the Mustangs relied on their guards, Seguin had a two-prong attack with Tyler Fricke blistering the net from 3-point range and senior post Cedric Ward scoring inside. Seguin won, 68-56.
Marble Falls (9-12, 0-3) dropped its third straight District 26-5A game despite a 21-point outing from guard Zac Spruill.
Seguin (8-10, 2-1) put together a modest two-game win streak with some excellent shooting.
In the third quarter, the Matadors pulled away. Seguin caught fire with Fricke hitting outside and Ward getting plenty of shots on the interior. Seguin hit eight of 10 shots in the third quarter and finished off the game with the team hitting six of nine in the fourth quarter.
