Dessie “Ozeal” McGill

Dessie “Ozeal” McGill was born March 18, 1932 in Arlington, Texas to parents Jewell Barron and Amelia Daly Barron, and died Jan. 21, 2020, in Marble Falls, Texas.

She is survived by her children, Terry (Michael) Pilley, Roger W. McGill (Janice) and Ginger (Aurelius) Sofia; grandchildren, Michael (Leslie) Pilley, Kassi (Clint) Ware, Tanya (Ayron) Nolen, Riley (Sarah) Dallas, Justin (Carrie) Dallas, Chelsea (Hunter) Minks, Christopher Dietz, Scott Dietz, Alex McGill, Trey Sofia and Greyson Sofia. She is also survived by great-grandchildren, Bryce (Sierra) Pilley, Courtney Pilley, Tanner Pilley, Tincia Ware, Trinity Ware, Morgan Ware, Hanna Nolen, Ryan Nolen, Charlie Dallas, Tristan Dallas, Jackson Dallas and Sloan Dallas.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Roger; her parents; her daughter, Sherry McGill; and her siblings, Charles Barron, Thomas Barron, Joseph Barron and Nancy Faecke.

Ozeal graduated from Arlington High School and attended the University of Texas at Arlington.

She married Roger W. McGill on July 5, 1952. She was at stay at home mom until Roger retired from the army in 1968. They then moved to Marble Falls. Mom went to work at Home State Bank as a cashier and stayed through it’s many transitions until retiring as Vice President of Wells Fargo. Upon her retirement, Mom and Dad traveled the country.

Visitation will be Sunday, Jan. 26, from 5 to 7 p.m., and the Funeral Service will be Monday, Jan. 27 at 10 a.m. Both services will be held at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home in Marble Falls, Texas.

Pall Bearers will be Bryce Pilley, Tanner Pilley, Mike D. Pilley, Trey Sofia, Justin Dallas and Riley Dallas. Honorary Pall Bearers will be Berkley Pilley and Brooklyn Sanchez.
