Lisa Lindsey Bonnett was born on May 26, 1957 in Lampasas, Texas, to Loretta Lindsey and Vernon Lindsey. Her surviving siblings are sister, Tammie Lindsey and brother, Al Lindsey. She graduated in 1975 from Leander High School. Her classmates remember her as the pretty, sweet, cheerleader, FFA sweetheart and homecoming queen, who always had a beautiful smile.

Lisa married Gary Bonnett, the love of her life, and followed him to Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, and California as Gary worked on pipelines.

On their return to Texas, they settled in Marble Falls. Gary will unashamedly tell you that his wife was the most beautiful woman on the face of this earth, and that no one has ever been loved like he loved Lisa.

Together, Gary and Lisa raised three girls, Meloni Stendebach (Walker), Jessica Bonnett, and Cassi Payne (Cody). They are blessed with grandchildren Addison and Rylee Stendebach, Morgan, Brynlee, and Logan Bonnett, and Callen and Connor Payne.

Lisa worked in bookkeeping and accounting throughout her career. Her passions were her grandchildren, music, dancing, and taking photos. Her grandchildren loved their dances with Gammy. Thanks to her, the kids and grandkids can dance and sing to everything from Credence Clearwater Revival, to Steppenwolf, to Loretta Lynn and Conway Twitty.

Lisa dreamed of owning cattle. When Gary fulfilled that wish this past year, she referred to him as her Cattle Baron.

She loved Gary with her absolute whole heart.

Lisa passed away on August 1, 2020. She was true to the end to the way she lived her life: “Always put family first, even if it means doing without, yourself.” “Give everything to God. He will take care of you.”

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
