Incumbent Llano Mayor Gail Lang won re-election to another term in the Saturday, May 1, municipal election after withstanding a challenge from Mayor Pro Tem Kelli Tudyk in complete but unofficial returns.

Baylor Scott and White to cease Llano Memorial operations

The Baylor Scott & White (BSW) health care system bas formally told Llano County it won't be running Llano Memorial Hospital after the end ofthe year. Llano County Hospital Authority Board President Robert Wallace told board members Tuesday that Tim Ols, head of SSW's Hill Country operation, sent a letter to that effect earlier this month.
