Marble Falls ISD grapples with staff shortage

Due to staff shortages caused by COVID-19, Marble Falls Independent School District has opted to suspend a few of the bus routes, officials announced on “We have been extremely resourceful and benefitted from staff members across the district who are certified to help fill-in as bus drivers where possible,” Superintendent Chris Allen said in a statement. “These staff members include many of our athletic coaches, CTE staff and technology staff, to name a few.

Marble Falls ISD to consider ‘innovating’ education code

A Marble Falls Independent School District committee is proposing changes to the Texas Education Code in order to assist officials in decision-making and the hiring process. The District of Innovation (DOI) Committee met in conjunction with the District Educational Improvement Committee (DEIC) to decide on proposed amendments to the current MFISD plan that would go into effect for the rest of the 2021-22 school year and continue for the 2022-23 school year if approved by a vote of the school board.
