The band 3 Chord Rodeo will kick off the an abbreviated Boogie at the Bay series this coming Wednesday, June 17, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Quail Point pavilion park, 107 Twilight, Horseshoe Bay.

The event is presented by the Horseshoe Bay Business Alliance with Arrowhead Bank Horseshoe Bay serving as the center stage sponsor for the evening. Other sponsors for the evening include the City of Horseshoe Bay, Highland Lakes Title and Sound Design.

Participants are encouraged to bring their blanket, a favorite beverage and their friends to enjoy, but to keep in mind the importance of adhering to COVID-19 health policies. Masks are optional, but participants are asked to practice social distancing.

HSB POA establishes a 250-person maximum for the pavilion grounds. Volunteers will sanitize the grounds before, during and after the show.

3 Chord Rodeo is an Austin band with deep roots in vintage country music. The band members are all veterans of the Austin, Nashville and California music scenes. They perform regularly on the dance hall and club circuit of Central and South Texas.

The band was created in 2012 by long-time Austin friends and musicians Bobby Dabbs (lead guitar) and Greg Scarborough (bass guitar and vocals). California native Lauren Ellis (steel, lead guitar and vocals) joined the band shortly after moving to Austin from Nashville, where she toured with Rita Coolidge, Rosie Flores, Rick Trevino and former Monkee Peter Tork

Rounding out the band is Austin, Texas, native Bill Mansell (drums), who has performed with Jubal Clark (Willie’s Picnic ‘79), Bill Carter, The Desires, The Lift, Lou Ann Barton, the Argyles, and Jake Penrod.
