Highland Lake Democratic Women lent their support to the gathering and march for justice at Johnson Park on Saturday, June 13. The HLDW members were uplifted by the speakers and joined in the march.

One of the major goals of HLDW is to increase the number of registered voters, regardless of party affiliation. Booths were set up at Johnson Park and downtown Marble Falls in front of the Burnet County Democrat office in the Uptown Theatre building.

HLDW officials said they believe in educated and informed voters that understand the importance and duty of voting. HLDW works tirelessly to have a fully represented voting public and wants everyone to understand that “their vote is their voice.”
