Authorities are continuing their investigation into the death of a man who was struck by two vehicles while reportedly walking down RM 1431 in Llano County. Llano County Sheriff’s Department investigators are piecing together clues into what started as a report on Saturday, Sept. 17 of “a subject walking down the road.” Officials confirmed that Nicholas Zisnan, 43, of Granite Shoals was found dead around 2 a.m. that night near CR 321; just outside the entry way of Long’s Fishing Camp.

“We have a vehicle versus pedestrian. He was struck by two different vehicles,” said Llano County Sheriff’s Deputy Brad Evans. “We do know that he was at Pat’s.”

“He left (the bar). We got a call about a subject walking. Deputies responded to the area. We didn’t find him,” Evans said. “About 50 minutes later, we got a call (that) this person was struck by two vehicles. Both vehicles did stop.”

Authorities reported the pedestrian was struck by two southbound SUVs. “We’re still talking to people at Pat’s, to his roommate,” Evans said. “It’s an ongoing investigation.” Llano County Pct. 3 Justice of the Peace Deb Edwards pronounced the victim dead at the scene.

Texas Department of Public Safety troopers are handling the fatality report. Llano County authorities are continuing interviews connected to the incident, Evans said.
