Linda Marie Pendle Brainard

Linda Marie Pendle Brainard

August 23, 1950 — August 31, 2018

Our beloved mother, Linda Marie Pendle Brainard, lost her brave battle with cancer on Aug. 31, 2018. She was born in Salem, Illinois to Cleo and Wanda Pendle on Aug. 23, 1950. Her mother passed away when Linda was only eight years old. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her father, her son Christopher, sister Becky, and much loved uncle Ron "PeeWee" Pendle.

Our mother spent her life as a wonderful homemaker and caretaker of our brother Christopher. They spent their time at home listening to Kenny Rogers records and being the best of friends. We know without a doubt in our hearts Christopher was waiting with open arms for the mother he has missed so dearly.

Linda was an amazing writer, poet, artist, and singer. Some of our fondest memories are of listening to her sing along to her favorite oldies like The Mamas and the Papas, the BeeGees, and The Monkees. It brought us much comfort in our lives. She also was a beautiful woman who at one point in her life modeled and was an extra in movies that were filmed in Austin.

She leaves behind to mourn and cherish her memory, daughters, Angela Dianne Boyer, Cindy Murillo (husband Alex), and Trudy Collier (husband Clint), baby boy Rodney Brainard; sisters, Brenda, Lori, and Kelly; brother, Roddy; grandchildren, Jacquelyn, Brittany (husband Kenneth), Jacob, Nicholas, Christopher John, Alyson, Alexander, Blake, Garrett, Madison, and Benjamin; great grandsons, Gavin and Mason; great granddaughters, Lyla and Chloye; many close cousins, friends and her beloved Aunt Anne Pendle.

The family would like to thank Dr. Adapala and his staff at Scott & White Oncology in Marble Falls, Dr. Kim Russell, the staff at Scott & White Hospital Marble Falls, and Seton Hospice for their compassion and care of our mother in her final days. A special thank you to Amy Clegg for the understanding and kindness you gave our family in the most difficult of times.

Rest easy Mama, your work here is done. We will love you and miss you for the rest of our lives.
