Thomas Taylor Douglass

Thomas Taylor Douglass

September 18, 1941 -September 6, 2025

Thomas Taylor Douglass was born on September 18, 1941 to Thomas Peyton and Susan Jane (Bradford) Douglass. Tom died in his home on September 6, 2025, just shy of his 84th birthday. He grew up in the areas of Del Rio and Charlotte and graduated from North Dallas High school in 1959. Tom went to college at Arlington State and graduated with an associates degree before enlisting with the Air National Guard. He served for 6 years specializing as an air traffic mechanic. Living in Marble Falls, Texas, Tom commuted to Texas Instruments where he worked as an operations manager for 25 years before retiring to open Marble Falls Auto Machine. Not one to sit still after closing his machine shop, Tom found work as a ranch manager until the age of 82!

Tom enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, watching football and drag racing. He especially enjoyed hanging out with those he loved and telling stories…on repeat.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents and forever love, Cathy Lynn Douglass.

He is survived by his daughter, Nicole (Rob) Morales, The Girls - Nicki (Dominic) Hernandez and Casie (Brett) Walker, and step-children, Cheryl Stacks and Shayne (Kristi) Wheeler. Also surviving him are numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren and a special friend, Christie Stahr.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Enhabit Hospice, especially his nurse, Krystal, who cared for him with the utmost respect and a little bit of humor. We would also like to recognize his amazing care team who loved him like their own - Tracy, Shirley, Terry, LeAnn, Heather, Mary Lou and Crystal - Thank you is not enough!
