Eddye Sue McAulay “Sue” Carter

Eddye Sue McAulay “Sue” Carter

May 24, 1935 -September 27, 2025

Eddye Sue McAulay Carter (Sue), 90, went to join her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on September 27, 2025. After a long battle with cancer, she died peacefully in her home surrounded by her loved ones. Sue was born May 24, 1935, the only child to Connell and Bonnie McAulay in Coke County, Texas. She married Nealon Carter in Brontë, Texas on August 15, 1951. Together with their daughters, they traveled the world for Nealon’s work and lived in Brisbane, Australia; Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea and Tripoli, Libya. Thus began her love of traveling and exploring new places throughout the world. By the time they returned to the United States, Sue and her family had traversed the globe several times. For the past thirty years, Sue has resided in Marble Falls, Texas where she found her true “home “ and many friends that she considered family. Sue was an active member of the First Methodist Church Marble Falls, Bible 101 Sunday School Class, Daughters of the American Revolution and her beloved Divas group.

Sue was preceded in death by her husband, Nealon Carter and her beloved grandson Palmer King. Sue is survived by her daughters Marcia and her husband Frank King of Dripping Springs, Texas and Donna and her husband Scott Bryant of Austin, Texas; three granddaughters, Meg Bryant, Bonnie LoBianco (Tony), Kelsey Stanton (Trey). Her three great grandchildren were her greatest joy, Summer and EJ Stanton and Isabella LoBianco.

A special thank you to Sheri Wisener and New Century Hospice who helped care for Sue at her home, they comforted and loved our family as well, and we are grateful for each person that served us.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 3, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at First Methodist Church in Marble Falls, Texas. Sue will be greatly missed by our family and her many wonderful friends.
