Cecil Edward Stapleton

Cecil Edward Stapleton

August 30, 1942 —October 10, 2025

Cecil Edward Stapleton passed away on October 10, 2025, in Marble Falls, TX surrounded by loved ones.

He was born in Marble Falls, Texas, on August 30, 1942, to William (Sammy) Harmon and Ruby Chaney Stapleton.

Cecil is survived by his sons, James Gregory Stapleton and Jerry Scott Stapleton; his granddaughter, Baylor Stapleton, and her husband, Syed Mazhar; and great-grandchildren, Sarah and Yunus Mazhar. He is also survived by his sister, Kay Gibson, and her husband, Gary and their son Ruff; his nephews Kirk and his wife Linda and Keith and his wife Lesley. Cecil is also survived by his daughter, Melissa Rowland; and many dear friends whom he considered family.

Cecil was a lifelong resident of Marble Falls, Texas. A talented mechanic by trade, he spent much of his career at Courtesy Auto, where he took great pride in his work and often enjoyed building and restoring cars for himself. Throughout his life, Cecil found joy in the simple things—fishing, camping, and spending time surrounded by his loved ones. On weekends, if he wasn’t on the golf course, you could count on finding him cheering—sometimes loudly—for his favorite teams, the University of Texas Longhorns and the Dallas Cowboys, offering his unwavering support whether they deserved it or not. He will be dearly missed by all.

Graveside service will be held October 17, 2025, at 2:00 pm at the Marble Falls City Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at: www.clementswilcoxfuneralhome. com
