Mike and Michaelyn moved to Marble Falls in 1976. where they joined First Baptist Church and raised their family. Michaelyn taught kindergarten for 20 years and helped start the preschool program at the church. She had a gift for hospitality and made everyone feel welcome, cared for. and at home. She loved Christinas and all the traditions that came with it. This year, she was able to celebrate Thanksgiving surrounded by her family, and Mike made sure their home was decorated for Christmas so she could enjoy every light and memory.

Michaelyn supported and loved Mike faithfully and served her family, her church, and her community with kindness and grace.

She is survived by her husband. Mike Atkinson: her children. Jennifer Wvble (Dale) of Waco, Texas, and Ryan Atkinson and Kari Atkinson of Marble Falls, Texas; and her three grandsons. Jayson, Will, and Colin Wyble. who were the joy of her life. She is also survived by extended family and many dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Worth and Virgie Thompson, and her twin sister. Pat Thompson.

Her favorite scripture was Psahn 91:1-2: “He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest iu the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord. ‘He is my refuge and my fortress, my God. in whom I trust.’” A Celebration of Life Service for Michaelyn will be held on Saturday Dec. 13, 2025 at 11:00 am at First Baptist Church Marble Falls. 901 La Ventana Dr. Marble Falls.
