Richard Bra d Panning

Richard Brad Panning, age 69, of Kingsland, Texas, passed away on January 22, 2026.

Rich was born on June 4, 1956, in San Jose, California.

He lived a life defined by generosity, kindness, and a genuine love for people. He truly never met a stranger and was always willing to help anyone in need. Those who knew him knew they could count on him, and he was deeply loved by many. Conversations came easily to him and friendships followed naturally. Whether he was sharing stories, lending a hand, or showing up when it mattered most, Rich made people feel seen and valued.

Rich served as a Sergeant in the United States Air Force from 1974-1980 and was honorably discharged.

Rich enjoyed fishing and hunting, finding peace and joy in the outdoors. These passions reflected his steady, patient nature and his appreciation for simple, meaningful moments.

Above all else, Rich loved his family. He is survived by his sister Elaine Sheehan, children Ryan Panning and daughter- in-law Sarah Panning, his daughter Kaylin Mach and son-in-law Ross Mach; and his cherished grandchildren, Cooper Panning, Hudson Mach, and Maeve Mach, who brought him immense pride and joy. His love for his family was steady, unconditional, and enduring.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Gagliola; his stepfather, Anthony Gagliola; and his father, Richard Panning.

A celebration of life honoring Rich’s legacy will be held in the coming months, with details to be shared at a later date.

Rich leaves behind a legacy of kindness, generosity, and warmth — a life well lived and a man who will be deeply missed, always remembered, and forever loved.
